Public Meetings

The project team will host three public meetings throughout the course of the Phase I study. The first public meeting took place in July of 2022 and the second public meeting is projected to occur in March or April 2025. Make sure to subscribe to our newsletter to receive up-to-date information on the project and events.

Networking Event

Community Advisory Group

A Community Advisory Group (CAG) will be formed which is comprised of civic organizations, residential groups, business organizations, neighborhood groups, and other stakeholders. The purpose of the CAG is to represent the community and facilitate the discussion of issues and opportunities from their constituents to guide the project throughout its development. The CAG will meet several times over the course of the study. The first CAG meeting took place in June of 2022 and the second CAG meeting is projected to occur in January 2025.

This includes but is not limited to the following groups:
 

  • 10th Ward, City of Chicago

  • Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT)

  • Metropolitan Water Reclamation District (MWRD)  

  • Chicago Department of Water Management (CDWM)  

  • Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA)  

  • Burnham Woods Golf Course  

  • Forest Preserves of Cook County  

  • Hegewisch Business Association  

  • South Suburban Mayors and Managers Association (SSMMA)  

  • Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) 

  • Burnham Elementary School
